Its Not Just an Island it is Puerto Rico

As a Puerto Rican, i have always seen other Puerto Ricans as a very diverse group. It is not that i judge a particular group of Puerto Ricans, but there are some, in which I wished they progressed faster, like the rest. Progress has always formed a crucial part of what it means to be Puerto Rican, but we have become complacent to the mediocrity around us. This idea permeates and molds us to become humans who don’t demand respect. The respect needed to make better Puerto Rico, not just for us, but also our future generations. A Puerto Rican is known for his/her generosity, anger, but most of all his courage.

The last one is due to the fighter in us that wishes to fight for what is ours, and the identity of each individual. It can be seen in how we come together in support for our teams, and international representations because they respect each one of us. I love my island, and its origins. I understand that as Puerto Ricans we can take our island to its peak of beauty and excellence because it is our time to mold our future. I plan to stay in Puerto Rico. I plan to add to the knowledge and talent, found on this island, to push for a better. A better that will change this world, but starts in the nucleus of a society, a family. To end this, I have to say that I love my beautify island of Puerto Rico.

Then again is in our hands to make the best out of it, cause we, the new generations are the ones who can take this island to its best.
