English Between Malta, Puerto Rico, USA and Great Britain

The way humans communicate between each other is a fascinating aspect of a language. As members of a commonwealth, we have had to learn a second language, which in this case is English. Where some Puerto Ricans try to learn some words in English to communicate better with United States citizens. They do so out of the belief that the words originated from the US, but a professor in the UK demonstrated that it is far more complicated than the original hypothesis. One would think that since we are a colony of the U.S. our English is derived from theirs’, but the professor studied the English spoken in Maltese, Great Britain, United States, and Puerto Rico. The Professor took samples in each location by taking written texts and audio tapings and analyzing each similarity between the locations, and concluded that the language spoken and written in Puerto Rico is most related to the Maltese. The professor also concluded that the English spoken and written in the U.S. is derived from the UK, as they were the colonizers and have influenced the most in the people and their interactions.  Although it does not matter where we are, the Puerto Ricans are known by having special dialect that is distinct in all the languages that are imposed or spoken.
